Yesterday was the second day of the so-called "Battle of the Best", our first night. I say so-called because I am no where near there....yet. On a night that we were to make two passes, oil downs and other delays kept the Top Gun field of three to only a single pass.
Unfortunately the track was no where as good as last weekends', so the big guns would have their hands full. Our little 762 ci Pro Stocker engine laid down a 6.81 et at 204 mph while the other two had to lift off early. Imagine that! We were the quickest of the bunch last night. This will certainly change tonight.
I want to commend our skeleton crew for this weekend. Since Priscilla is away for work, I've had to take her place alongside Stephen servicing the clutch. Still the work got done in a timely manner and we were ready when the call to lanes came.
