I gave a hand

The Ronald Mc Donalds House Charities Curaçao Foundation (RHMC) has initiated the organization for their McHappy day, which will be Friday, November 15,2013. From now leading up to this special day everyone can assist by giving a guilder or more to this charity. In turn they will receive a symbolic paper hand which will be put up as décor inside the Mc Donald restaurants. I have got half-a-dozen up already!

So please when the cashier offers a you a paper hand, please buy one or more and write your name on it and return this to the cashier. In doing so, you will be helping the RHMC fund its operations and help close to 2.000 families cope with very difficult situations. It does so by giving those in need a home away from home, this in the SEHOS.  I have been a recipient of this help and I am forever grateful for this.

About the McHappy day, this is the RHMC's most important day in terms of funding. On this day, all proceeds of all Big Macs sold will go directly to the foundation. In 2012, the operator of the local Mc Donalds on Curaçao and Aruba, called Arcos Dorados, donated Fls. 43.422,00 to the foundation.
