Ronald Mc Donald's House Charities - Curaçao Foundation

As mentioned in an earlier blog introducing our Team Apparel T-shirts, with each one sold we will donate Ang. 5,00 to the Ronald Mc Donald House Charities - Curacao Foundation.

Team Apparel T-shirt box with donation pledge on its side.

This foundation is a chapter of the world-wide RMcDHC and at the moment has at its disposal a 80m2 "Family Room" in the Sint Elisabeth Hospital in Willemstad, Curacao. This room is meant to be a space where children and parents who travel from Bonaire and St. Maarten hospitals for medical treatment can relax.

As often is the case, with the admittance of children to hospital a stressful situation is created. The idea is give these kids and their parents an area where they can kinda feel at home. In a way, escape the difficulties of having to deal with illness and lengthy recuperation.

In the future, a family house will be build close by to the new hospital to act has a home away from home, a simple hotel to help children and parents alike to stay together in difficult times.

The Curacao Chapter of the Ronald Mc Donald House Charites was founded in 2010 by Mrs. Lorrie van Ooijen and Mrs. Claudia Rigaud.

If you are ever in a position to contribute to this worthy cause, please do so. Even your small change at the counter of your local McD's will help, so please deposit it in their collection box.

Thanks for reading and see you at the races!
