Night time pictures

The sport of drag race, as with most forms of modern motorsports, has many facets that requires constant attention. In this piece, I am referring to semi-professional sport photographers.

Stills are important, but so are burnout and launch photographs of a car. Some areas which requires more attention from local sports photographers are the mid-track and the finish line.

So last weekend, during a special test session, I took an aspiring photographer with me to the track, at Urven Broos (DAC).

Clean up operation after oil down
Maybe in the future we can help set up a special tower from which photographers can do their thing, maybe around the generator area, and then some 2-3 meters of the ground.

In a nutshell, sport photographers have a supporting function, for they supply us with the photographs needed to market our sport, not only to our fans and sponsors, but also to spectators and the public in general. Whenever you are in a position to support them, please do for they are very under appreciated!
