In the pictures below Orlando and I are preparing to place the parachutes into the launchers. At this time we are just getting things ready, earlier this year. The bell housing is still out meaning that we have not gotten to assembling the clutch yet.
In the first one Eric can be seen inside the trailer working on the computer, while we wait for him to upload the data, we joke around. Very relaxed moment. The next picture paints a different picture, things tense up after Stephen hears a noise coming from the engine.
In this set, again very serious faces all around. As we were testing with King Kong IV, Pat Musi was at the track and he agreed to come on over to confirm our suspicions. Spun bearing... and more!
Reality sets in! It is going to cost an arm and a leg to get this engine fixed. But the wheels are turning [in my head] and pretty soon, this small trailer will find his way back to Ronde Klip.
Knowing that it would be a while before we would be back at the track I had a group picture taken that Saturday night. The RJ built Cobalt awaits for his transporter.
You can help us get back to the track by buying one of our cool team apparel T-shirts. Click here for more information.
Thanks for reading and see you at the races!
