Special wine night fundraiser

The wine haves been selected and the choices of snacks that best compliment the wines are being researched as I write this.


Special Wine Night recap:
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Below you will find nine pictures I took Thursday night, but trust me when I tell you that not even combined do they begin to convey how cozy the wine cellar at The Triangle is.

On Thursday we hosted a special Wine & Cheese fundraiser and we all, without any exception were blown away by the location. Of course, our wine connoisseur Paul Jonkers made for an unforgettable night explaining in details and with many anecdotes the different whites and reds. He even managed to open our eyes to the world of olive oils.

Hidden by the passage of time, the "all original" wine cellar at The Triangle was only discovered during reconstruction of the site a few years ago. Once down the steps the ambience quickly turns from modern to old as you seem magically transported to an old European chateau or an underground room of the officers club in the movie "Lawrence of Arabia".

Needless to say, the fundraiser was a success. Thank you!

Pete's successful roof-top party

It gives me great pleasure to inform that we had a successful fundraising last Thursday, as many came out to enjoy an evening of good Italian wine and great company. The fact that we had secured such a beautiful location at The Triangle surely made the evening a memorable one.

During the Wine & Cheese party our foundation's chairperson Priscilla Lotman introduced our Team Apparel T-shirt and raffled three of them. So we are off and running with that project as well.

I'd like to thank Bernina Modes and Presidente for sponsoring this event. Peggy took the bartending and kitchen as her responsibilities, while my good friend Paul Jonkers supplied the Terra del Noce wine and Presidente beer through Leanez. He also helped with the set up and overall smooth running of things. We could not have done this without you. THANKS A LOT!

And as requested by many, we will surely repeat this in the future so please revisit the blog from time to time. For now, enjoy some of the pictures of that night.

Pete's "Wine & Cheese" at The Triangle

We are holding on June 20th a Wine & Cheese fundraising roof-top event at an exclusive location in Willemstad, a city which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located at Hoogstraat in Otrobanda, The Triangle building's terrace has spectacular rooftop views of the old city.

My good friend Paul Jonkers will be in charge of the wines and bar, which will serve premium hard liquor, whilst PISS'D OFF PETE team member Priscilla Lotman will be in charge of the rest. So, I can be quite confident when I say that the good times will roll that Thursday.

So, won't you come and have a good time with us, while at the same time lend us a helping hand in our quest to bring the battle to Frank Brandao's King Kong IV. You could also buy dad a ticket for "Fathersday".
